{"id":649,"date":"2016-12-07T00:38:53","date_gmt":"2016-12-07T00:38:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hopemeetsjoy.com\/?p=649"},"modified":"2016-12-07T03:10:57","modified_gmt":"2016-12-07T03:10:57","slug":"fall-candle-makeover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hopemeetsjoy.com\/index.php\/2016\/12\/07\/fall-candle-makeover\/","title":{"rendered":"fall candle makeover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I went a little overboard when I bought 8 fall candles on sale at Michael&#8217;s. \u00a0I burned a candle nearly every night for a few months and still only managed to put a dent in 3 of these candles. \u00a0With our upcoming move next summer, I don&#8217;t think it is too reasonable to expect to travel with candles to the next city we call home, but I didn&#8217;t want them to go to waste either.<\/p>\n<p>Solution? \u00a0Make them over for the holiday season!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-654 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/hopemeetsjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/FullSizeRender-37.jpg?resize=300%2C225\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/hopemeetsjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/FullSizeRender-37.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/hopemeetsjoy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/FullSizeRender-37.jpg?w=640&amp;ssl=1 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I took a combination of felt, plaid fabric, twine, ribbon, tree trimmings, jingle bells and mini ornaments to turn these orange jar candles into holiday conversation pieces. \u00a0I found that the small tree trimming branches fit nicely into the top of a mini ornament or jingle bell so I was able to string these on the branches.
